Did you know that Mead has a Book Club? You may not, after all it’s fairly new.

It exists, every other Wednesday at the back of the library during lunch. Led by Mrs. Hedlun and Mrs. Emberg, this group of bookworms meet to discuss a community book they read. You help decide the book chosen for the month. The mid-month meetings act as check ups to view your progress and the meeting at the end of the month and they gather to seriously debate on the book, giving it a rating out of five, and discussing their likes and dislikes. They critically analyze the text and engage in thought-provoking discussions about what it could mean and how they relate to it with their own lives.

Interested? Come up and join them in the library Wednesday, October 25 for their next meeting. Fun, entertainment, and nerdy conversations about books are guaranteed.

See Mrs. Hedlun or Mrs. Emberg for more details.

I’m glad you included an article about the book club! The meetings are fun and membership is growing. The current read is I Am the Messenger. The library has 1 copy available! Grab it and join the group!
