Unified basketball team takes the win

Spectators unite in cheering on the team

Unified sports are a recent addition to our array of various sports. Even though they aren’t as visible as other sports, unified possesses a lot of heart.

On Friday March 2nd, Unified held a basketball game during Advisory.

Senior C.J Shellenberger said, “(he) loved seeing everyone support the unified team”. He also said, “(the team) deserved to be treated with respect”.

Senior Trace Lindemann added,”I was happy to see the kids so excited”.

The final score was 57 to 7 in Unified’s favor, with the support from the stands being unanimous.

I enjoy video gaming on my Asus ROG computer. I play every type of game. Some of my favorites are Pokemon, Saints Row, Black Mesa, and others. When I'm not gaming, I enjoy programming mods for said games. Other things I enjoy are walking my dogs and playing Pokemon (and You-Gi-Oh!) trading card games. My favorite food is chicken and waffles (with honey mustard). My goal in life is to make a successful video gaming company.

What an amazing game to watch! The student team, the entire crowd, and even the staff team were all fantastic. I loved seeing the whole school come together with such positivity. Thanks for reporting on such a great event Blake.
