How to make the perfect apple cinnamon pie bread

All the sweet taste of an apple pie without drying your mouth

Have you ever wanted the taste of a good apple pie without that dry crust? Then I have the recipe for you. To make the perfect apple cinnamon pie bread, you will need a few things to get started:

  • ⅓ cup brown sugar (not packed)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅔ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup (or one stick) of salted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cup of all purpose flour
  • 1 ¾ teaspoons of baking powder
  • ½ cup (or more) of milk
  • 1 apple of your choice (pealed)

First, preheat your oven to 350°F and spray cooking oil on a 9″ x 5″ loaf pan. Also, in a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon like this:

Next, with an electric mixer, mix together the sugar and butter until you have a smooth creamy consistency like this:

After that is smooth, add one egg, mix that in, then add the other one. After both eggs are mixed in well, add your vanilla extract. It should look like this:

Now slowly add your flour and baking powder. It should come out with a cookie dough consistency, so rest assured, you didn’t do anything wrong. Add a half cup of milk or  more until it looks like pancake batter.

Once you have your batter, pour half of it into your pan. Then add a layer of your sliced apple and dust the top of your batter with your cinnamon mixture. Be generous, don’t leave a spot untouched.

After that, add the rest of your batter, smooth it out, and lay out the rest of your apples and cinnamon mixture. I swirled the cinnamon mixture into the batter to make a design in the bread.

Once you have all of your batter in your pan, place it into the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes (mine took 36 minutes). You’ll know it’s baked fully by testing it with a dry toothpick; the toothpick should come out clean.

Once the toothpick comes out clean, pull it out of the oven, wait at least 15 minutes (or until the pan is cooled), and enjoy your new favorite dessert.
