Where are they going?: Hayley Price
Welcome to The Mav’s Senior Tradition where we highlight our current seniors and discuss where they are headed to
Following in the footsteps of those who’ve inspired throughout high school, Hayley Price (‘22) plans to go to a university in Colorado to pursue a career in music education. She’s leaving a strong name for herself in the heart of the performing arts program here at MHS with her talent and dedication to the arts.
When looking back at her favorite parts of her time here at Mead, she said that “a lot of it ties back into music”.
“Being able to meet so many new people through music and create such great connections with them has been one of the best things ever,” said Price.
Price wants to tell underclassmen that when it comes to progressing through MHS, “don’t be afraid to get involved”. She found herself a part of a lot of opportunities that she wouldn’t have thought she would be in when she was a freshman, such as being part of band or being a student director for last year’s musical.
“Get yourself out there and find what’s gonna make you happy,” she advised others.
When asked what teachers impacted her most in the four years shes been in high school she said, “Ms. Berry has probably been one of the biggest mentors that I’ve had and is one of the main influences for [my desire to] go into teaching music. [She] has shown so much care and compassion for her students.”
Price wants to continue that chain of care and compassion for her future students.
We wish her luck in the teaching and musical fields she’s going into and hope the remainder of her senior year continues her path of happiness and excitement.
