Where are they going?; Lauren Lopes
Lauren Lopes chooses Early Education at Colorado State University
Lauren Lopes is a senior at Mead High School that has recently been admitted to Colorado State University for the Fall 2018 semester.
When asked why she chose CSU, Lopes responded that she wants to be “able to be with all [her] friends [she’s] grown up with, but also also get to meet so many new people”. At CSU, Lopes plans to study Early Education, a bachelor’s degree that sets students up for jobs in teaching, and child care. With this Early Education degree, Lopes is hopeful that she will get a job as a Kindergarten, First grade, or Second Grade teacher. Although Lopes has been going to Mead since first grade, and has lived in Colorado for most of her life, she is not sure where she plans to live after college.
Lopes decided she was going to be a teacher many years ago, and has been preparing herself for her future job plans through “volunteering a lot” and “helping in a Kindergarten classroom at Mead Elementary for two years”.

17 year old Senior, Kelly Shields, spends her time with friends. They do everything together, including working out, watching movies, and playing video games in their so-called "mancave", at their friend Jack Weis' house. When she isn't with friends, you can find Kelly at various sporting events, or with her Golden Retriever, Duke.
After high school, Kelly plans to go to CSU and get her PhD in Behavioral Sociology, and one day work for the FBI, as an intelligence agent and profiler.
