Marcus Allen is a senior at MHS, and has recently been accepted to Colorado State University. Allen has a strong interest in Psychology, but is planning to start his college career as undeclared. He will complete all of his general courses to begin with, and hopefully by sophomore year he will be fully declared in a Psychology major, because this is his favorite subject. He states, “I really like their psychology and medical department. They also have a huge recreation center that is gonna be my ‘second home’ when I attend there”.

Marcus claims, “I chose CSU because I felt like there was a lot more to offer than there was at CU. CSU is also close to where I live so I can see my family as much as I want”. Although Allen, loves Colorado, after graduating from CSU he plans to move somewhere “where it’s hot all of the time”.

Marcus is setting himself up for his Psychology major by taking rigorous Advanced Placement classes, and concurrent enrollment, such as Psychology, Chemistry, and American Sign Language at Mead High School.
