Hlavacek looks forward to attending CSU in Fort Collins.

Where are they going?: Scarlett Hlavacek

Welcome to The Mav’s Senior Tradition where we highlight our current seniors and discuss where they are headed to

As her high school career comes to an end, Scarlett Hlavacek (‘22) plans on attending CSU in Fort Collins where she will be studying business.

Some of Hlavacek’s favorite memories during High School were the school dances. She said that senior prom was a night to remember.

“Pretty much every dance that we’ve had has been fun,” she said.

Hlavacek participated in volleyball during her freshman year, and she shared that it was an enjoyable experience and a great way to get involved with her community.

Hlavacek has faced a few challenges over the years, all of which she has overcome. However, she said that math has been a struggle for her, and that passing Algebra 2 with a B motivated her to continue and really pushed her to thrive.

She mentioned how she’ll miss some of her favorite teachers: Ms. Nichole Rue and Ms. Bree Ervin. She said, “They’ve been really supportive and… care about their students.”

Hlavacek learned a lot since freshman year, and she advised students not to force friendships or hang out with the wrong people. Instead, she believes students should make “genuine friends”; making the right friends will make high school more memorable.

Hlavacek has enjoyed her time in high school, but she is excited to see what life has in store for her. We wish her the best of luck and happiness.
