Self obsessed. (poem)
The story of narcissism is inspired by ancient Greeks and Romans.
A man called “Narcissist” was a handsome man walking around the world in search of someone to love, and after he caught a glimpse of himself in a river, he fell in love with himself.
Unable to tear himself away from his reflection,
he drowned: marking a flower in the spot he died, called the narcissus.
And given this,
I won’t lie to you;
You are beautiful.
You are amazing.
Boys do look at you.
People do admire you.
People aspire to be like you.
You’re funny.
It’s good to be around you.
You have all these perfect qualities;
You have a wonderful smile.
You have silky smooth hair.
You have perfect skin.
You have a dream body.
You have a wonderful home, with a wonderful family.
You notice your own perfections more than anyone else.
You must’ve been a reincarnation of the narcissist himself.
You constantly drown in your own reflection and cannot get away from yourself.
You’re so obsessed.
Too obsessed.
Everything always has to be about you, and nobody else.
And I do not understand.
I love you so much, so why can you not love me back the same.
You only love the way I love you.
That is not fair.
You are such a narcissist.

Enola! This poem is so good! The perspective that you chose for the poem’s narrator is really interesting and absolutely just makes the story flow really well.
