Yearbook offers free senior photos
Yearbook is able to take senior photos at no cost
This year, the yearbook class and yearbook and photography teacher Ms. Lammey set up a program that allows current seniors to have their senior photos taken at the school at no cost.
“Senior pictures can be expensive, and not everyone has the time or money to go [to] a professional photographer,” Lammey said.
Part of yearbook training for students in the class includes learning how to take portrait photos of other people.
“We noticed when we were taking practice portraits… that they looked really nice,” Lammey said. They decided it would be a great opportunity for seniors looking to have their photos done before the deadline on Friday, Oct. 21., but who are struggling to schedule them outside of school. If time, money, or anything else in an issue, yearbook has seniors covered.
For those interested, contact Ms. Lammey ([email protected]) and she will “get it set up with one of [her yearbook] students” to take the photos.
They are able to work with the student to find the best possible time during school, but ideally, students available during A4 (during yearbook) can have their photos taken then.
She added, “If A4 doesn’t work, then we can make other arrangements depending on everybody’s schedule.”
There are several beautiful nature backgrounds outside MHS, and Lammey is open to working with students to find a nice background and take some good looking senior photos.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Mead High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
Arizona Lee is a senior, and this is her second year as Editor-in-Chief of The Mav. She enjoys reading, listening to good music, and spending time with friends. She hopes to guide the student newspaper and broadcast this year to continued success.
