StuCo hosts spirit week and gift drive
Winter spirit week will be from Dec. 12-16
Student Council announced a spirit week and gift drive the week prior to finals to boost morale and hype up students for the upcoming winter break.
The gift drive will run through English classes due to Mav20 Advisory only being once a week. Each class will be collecting toys for kids and the homeless.
The week will start off with pajama day on Monday, Dec. 12. Students are asked to come to school dressed in their comfiest pajamas and slippers.
Tuesday presents students with the creative freedom of a dynamic duo. Some examples to spark ideas are Batman and Robin, peanut butter and jelly, or even Santa and an elf.
Athletic secretary Ms. Rachel Salaz said, “I’m always excited for spirit week because I love seeing people’s creativity.”
For the middle of the week, Wednesday’s theme will be holiday socks and festive sweaters.
The theme for Thursday, Dec. 15 will be winter gear. Remember to keep accessories appropriate.
And for the last day of the gift drive, there will be a color war between the staff and students.
Staff will be asked to wear yellow; seniors will wear white; juniors wear blue; sophomores wear red; and freshmen will wear green.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Mead High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
