Spirit week is dedicated to Mila’s wish of going to Disney.

Next week is Make-A-Wish spirit week for Mead High. This week is dedicated to five year old Mila from Broomfield, who is battling Leukemia.

Mila’s wish is to go to Disney and meet the princesses. Some of Mila’s favorite things include the color pink, puppets, strawberries, oranges, Rapunzel, making crafts, and, of course, Disney.

Starting off the week, Monday, Feb. 6 will be Disney Day. Students will be asked to show up wearing anything related to Disney.

The theme for Tuesday, Feb. 7 will be “I Wish To Be” Day. This will be the day to dress up as what you want to be when you grow up.

Wednesday, Feb. 8, is a Color War between grades. Freshmen will wear purple; sophomores will wear green; juniors will wear pink; seniors will wear blue.

Thursday, Feb. 9 presents students with the option to choose between “Night In” or “Night Out.” Either wear your comfy clothes for a “night in” or dress up for a “night out”.

For the final day of the spirit week, students are to wear their Make-A-Wish shirts. Shirts will be available for purchase starting Monday during both lunches in the cafeteria.

Along with the spirit week, there will be several events taking place to help raise money for Mila and her trip to Disney.
