The winter solstice. (poem)
The winter solstice —
the day that has the least daylight and the longest night.
I cave into the darkness forevermore, spending the night in my bed.
I hate the winter solstice.
I hate the snow.
I hate everything that reminds me of you, because I still love you more than I care to ever admit.
I admire the thought that the winter solstice reappears every year.
I think I admire it more than I’ll admit, with every hope in my body that the love will reappear.
love is so powerful.
everyone deserves some form of everlasting love.
I just wish I could’ve watched the love float away with you, and not sit back in our beds forevermore, longing for what we no longer have.
