Prom spirit week is April 17-21
Student Council is putting on a spirit week leading up to the Enchanted Garden prom dance
Saturday, April 22, is this year’s prom. Leading up to this dance, Mead’s Student Council is putting on a spirit week.
On Monday, April 17, students are encouraged to wear school appropriate “Pool Party” attire. This includes goggles, sunglasses, floaties, sunscreen, etc.
Tuesday, April 18 is “Iconic Duo” day. Examples include “Pepper & Salt, Spongebob & Patrick, Hot & Cold. Grab a friend and wear your favorite duo,” said StuCo. After school, students can support two home sporting events. Girls Lacrosse is playing a game at 4 p.m., and Girls Soccer is playing at 5:30 p.m.
The spirit theme for Wednesday, April 19, is “Class Holiday”. This means that students will dress in certain holiday attire based on their grade level. Freshman will wear St. Patrick’s Day gear. Sophomores will wear Valentine’s Day attire. Juniors will wear 4th of July gear. Seniors will wear New Year’s attire. After school a kickball game will be held on the football field from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Thursday, April 20, is “Gone Fishin’” day. “Wear your favorite fishing outfit,” said StuCo. This can include bucket hats, tackle box, camo, garters, etc. There are no activities on this day.
The last spirit day is “College Out” on Friday, April 21. Students are encouraged to wear their future or favorite college gear. A badminton game will take place after school from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the main gym.
Prom tickets are still available, and are $60 each. Mead’s Enchanted Garden themed prom will be held at the Church Ranch Event Center, 10200 Wadsworth Blvd, Westminster CO 80021 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
After prom is free and will be at Mead High School from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Mead High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
