Mr. Wade Weese, known at school adoringly as Wade, has worked at Mead High School for five years as a Campus Supervisor. As the epitome of a trusted adult, Weese is a friendly face many students feel they can talk to and confide in.
Weese’s job is endless. He may be a campus supervisor, but he also helps kids in various ways outside of the posted requirements for his job. He talks to kids as they walk by and gives free advice for those who take it. He helps direct our after school traffic so we can all get home safely and at a decent time. Everyone can also count on Wade to be outside with a shovel when it snows.
“I try my best to fill in when needed and keep everyone safe,” he said.
Weese has three kids currently enrolled here at Mead High School. He loves this because he gets to witness them grow up from a view most parents don’t have.
His oldest son, Donavon Weese (‘24), is currently a senior and said, “I feel like with Wade in my corner, it holds me to a higher expectation level. He holds me accountable for my schooling.”
When asked what his favorite part of his job was, he said, “Probably [that] I work with students that I can relate to, students that know my kids. Coming to work every day [and watching] my boys grow up, [seeing] who they’re with [and] how they’re interacting — being a part of that every day.”
Weese also shared a fun fact about himself: “I can wiggle my ears, my chest, and my nose all at the same time.”
