The new Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes was released in theaters recently. A lot of fans were extremely excited to watch the newest Hunger Games. It was released eight years after the fourth movie and took three years to create.
The Hunger Games series currently has four books out, all written by Suzanne Collins. Each book had people waiting for the next. She is a compelling writer, and each book left readers wanting more.
The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
The franchise also has four movies made, excluding the Ballard of Songbirds And Snakes, which is the origin story of The Hunger Games, including some of the same characters in the other movies.
This movie is about the prequel and introduction of all the other Hunger Games. This movie explains a little more of the background of the other movies produced including, how the Hunger Games started, who created the games, and why there are so many rules implemented in the games.
This movie features many of the same characters or relatives of the series characters: Coriolanus Snow, Tigris Snow, and Lucky Flickerman, who is related to Caesar Flickerman.
This movie is an introduction to all the other movies already released and involves the background and context of the storyline. This movie ties all the other movies together, making the plot more compelling to the watchers.
While I enjoyed the film, it did not live up to the other movies. The other four movies of The Hunger Games had so many more emotional elements that were not as prominent or pleasing in the new movie.
Overall, I rate The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes a 6/10.
