It is important to have friends who physically and mentally strengthen you (Opinion)

There are also many other benefits of having a friend who will put in the physical work with you.

A person who challenges you is critical in friendship. Both physical and mental challenges open room for vulnerability but are very important in friendship.

I believe that surrounding yourself with people who push you forward mentally can expose weaknesses but formulate a stronger connection in the friendship. It is essential that in a person’s life, there is a friend who pushes them forward into success.

Mental blocks can greatly impact many in their everyday lives, but having a friend who is willing and able to encourage you over such barriers is someone you should treasure.

Typically, friends either show no concern to motivate you or they encourage you through challenges and protect you. They can help lift you over obstacles that are difficult to overcome individually. I believe friends who put an arm around you and stand you up are the best people to have around.

Not only are friends who mentally challenge you are important, but also friends who physically challenge you. Friends who are eager to work out with you and physically support you are also the strongest people to surround yourself with. You’re more likely to succeed and work harder with a friend than you are alone.

“When you have someone who believes and motivates you, you are more likely to believe in yourself.”

A gym buddy who is judgment-free and motivating for you, someone who will go to extremes with you, and someone who can spot you at any given time is the goal. Workout friends are extremely helpful when trying to become the best version of yourself, both physically and mentally.

Allowing yourself to build connections with strong consistent people will grant a hardworking and persistent life. Gym friends are especially the best form of motivation. With this type of company, it requires dedication and a strong character.

Challenges are good for building character and growth but a support system can make challenges a breeze to overcome.

Everyone is constantly fighting to become the best version of themselves, which is a tough battle. I strongly believe having friendships where people will challenge you both physically and mentally are the best kinds of people to surround yourself with. This type of friendship consists of working together to build each other up into the best versions of each other. Having someone who only looks for the best in you is the best kind of person and relationship to have in your life.
