In a recently posted video titled “Two Steps Ahead” Nikocado Avocado shows off his new body (right) revealing that he has lost over 250lbs.
Nicholas Perry – better known by his YouTube username Nikocado Avocado – has been posting YouTube videos for around 8 years and has amassed over 4 million followers on YouTube alone.
He started as a thin vegan food reviewer until he posted a video titled “WHY I’M NO LONGER A VEGAN YOUTUBER.” Afterward, he started doing mukbang videos (a South Korean trend of eating various quantities of food while entertaining and engaging with an online audience) where he would eat huge unhealthy plates of food.
Over time, he eventually weighed over 350 lbs and, in turn, received a number of comments from viewers ranging from, “Who else checks on this channel every few months just to make sure he is alive [?]” to users claiming Perry is a “real motivation to avoid junk food.”
On Sept. 6, Perry posted a video titled “Two Steps Ahead.” In this video, he reveals that he has lost over 250lbs. In a separate video, Perry said,“I haven’t made a video for like two years,” suggesting that he had been posting older pre-recorded videos while he was on his weight loss journey.
In this video he said,“This has been the greatest social experiment of my entire life.”
“It’s alluring, compelling, gripping, to observe all these disoriented beings roam the internet,” he said.
Perry continued to say that his videos and other videos on the internet are “spoiling [viewers’] minds, yet stimulating them at the same time.”
After this four minute monologue, he proceeded to eat a giant plate of black bean noodles.
This video (as of the publishing date of this article) sits at 42 million views and holds a spot as #1 on YouTube’s trending list.
Perry has shocked the world: “The internet was not ready for this,” a commenter wrote.
Another commenter said, “Let’s be real. This is what we hoped for rather than facing his passing due to complications caused by his heavyweight.”
