Boo bags are something that the Mead student body is offering this year to get you in the Halloween spirit. They can be a gift for family, friends, or even yourself, similar to the very popular “singing valentines” that Mead High School has been offering since 2019.
You can purchase a ticket for a Boo Bag and they will be delivered to whomever you desire on October 29, 2024 (two days before Halloween), either anonymously or with a personalized note.
You can purchase these festive goodie bags during both lunches by the front office, and after school at the school store located outside of E wing.
The last day to buy tickets will be October 23, 2024.
These bags are being made and sold by FBLA.
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a club that Mead High School offers where students get first hand experience running a business. They are in charge of running the school store that opens after school and other fundraisers, and this year, FBLA decided to start a fall fundraiser. This is the first year FBLA has done Boo Bags and the sales have been a success so far.
Justin Fúgate (‘25) is a senior this year who joined FBLA as a sophomore.
“We decided that we wanted to do a fall fundraiser. And considering it’s been something that’s on our minds for a while, we decided this was the year we wanted to do it”.
FBLA plans on continuing these festive bags next year and for years to come.
“I think next year we’re going to do a lot better, just because it’ll be off the ground at that point,” said Fúgate, “But for the first year, I think we’ve done pretty good.”
