in the quiet corners where memories have lived
we’ve shared our laughter
we’ve cast our spells
though today our path part
this isn’t farewell
just a gentle see you soon
the sun may set
but the still stars remain
some of the prettiest things must come to an end
but something even more beautiful will remain
the memories that you have
that are engraved in your head
in the tapestry of time
we’ll meet again
for every story there is an end
but there is always somewhere else to begin
and to start again
many stories unwritten
and words left unsaid
this is not goodbye
but a sweet refrain
just a simple reminder
this is not the end
and we’ll meet once again
My name is Kimberley Labarbera. I have been in the Mead community for six years. Some of the people that I love the most I have met through the community of Mead. Now I am moving to a new school, in a new district, in a new town. It is scary, but it’s such a great opportunity. And this poem is dedicated to the people that I have made such a strong connection with. This is also a reminder to never say goodbye, but see you later.
