On February 14th, Nikolas Cruz walked into Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School with an AR-15 and shot 3 adults and 14 students. In response to the tragedy, many activists are organizing walk outs to protest gun violence.

All across the nation, individuals are protesting gun violence with walk outs. With some as recent as Wednesday the 21st in Denver.

As Time reports, “they’re taking matters into their own hands, advocating for stricter gun control laws and more mental health resources for treating troubled peers.”

Additional walk outs are planned for March 14th (National walk out), March 24th (March For Our Lives), and April 20th (National walk out).

Some walk outs are not planned ahead, but happen anyway. Yesterday, several walk outs of this nature occurred in Fort Collins where hundreds of students from various high schools came together in old town square.
