Travis Scott’s album, “Utopia”, released on July 28, 2023, is by far the best album he has ever produced. With over 800,000 sales, it became his second best selling album that he has made. His first is ASTROWORLD which is the album that introduced me to Travis Scott.
After Utopia came out, I was impressed that every song on one album could all be so good, but all of the songs on Utopia were incredible. The collaborations that were on this album were what made this album so amazing. My favorite songs that have collaborations are melt down, Topia Twins and, til’ further notice. I like these songs because you can listen to them over and over and not get tired of listening to them.
Rapper, Travis Scott, was born in Huston, Texas. He is a ten time Grammy winner and has won many BET awards. He is very well known all around the world. Over the years, he’s had four number one hits on the hot 100 billboard. The four songs that won this title were, “Sicko Mode”, “Highest in the Room”, “The Scott’s”, and “ Franchise”.
As of this moment, this album now has over 3 billion streams on Spotify which quickly got the title of ‘‘the fastest rap album of the decade to achieve this many streams.” The most popular song on this album is “FE!N” (featuring Playboi Carti), which has 859,359,412 streams on Spotify. Prior to the release of Utopia, Travis hadn’t released an album since 2019, that being his album ASTROWORLD.
On Utopia, Travis collaborated with many other artists, such as Teezo Touchdown, Drake, Playboi Carti, Beyoncé, Rob49, 21 Savage, the Weeknd, Swae Lee, Yung Lean, Dave Chappelle, Young Thug, Westside Gunn, Kid Cudi, Bad Bunny, SZA, Future, and James Blake.
The collaborations that were on this album, were arguably the best collaborations Travis Scott has had in any of his other albums. There are six songs on this album that don’t have collaborations, however the ones that do have other artists featured on them, are just as good as the songs that don’t.
I would give this album a 9/10, I really enjoy every single song that is on the album. My favorite songs are MY EYES, Topia Twins, and Meltdown. I like all of these songs a lot due to the collaborations on MY EYES and Topia Twins, and meltdown is overall a great song to listen to at any time.
