Mead High School’s 2024 homecoming dance, “Tangled in Memories; The Best Day Ever” inspired on the disney film “Tangled”, will be held Saturday September 28, from 7 to 10 p.m. in the courtyard behind the commons.
Tickets will be 20 dollars through Thursday, September 19. At 3 p.m on Thursday, tickets will increase to 30 dollars. Tickets purchased at the door will be 40 dollars.
Attendance matters this year in order to attend homecoming. Having six unexcused absences will not allow you to be at the dance.
Admin has instructed attendees to enter through the front doors, and to have your tickets ready to be scanned. There is a strict no re-entry policy for the event, so once you’ve left you cannot get back in.
A school sanctioned student ID is required for entry into the event. This applies for all students, including non-Mead students. Event guest passes can be found on the shelf located to the right of the health office; these must be turned in by September 20 at 3 p.m.
During the week leading up to the dance, student council is running spirit days and after school activities.
Monday’s theme is PJ Out, and at 7 p.m. in the big gym there will be a volleyball game — volleyball teams can be up to 7 people and 2 dollars a member.
Tuesday’s theme is Beach Out with no after school activities.
Wednesday’s theme is Minion Takeover, and at 7 p.m. there will be a free movie night showing Disney’s “Tangled” in the auditorium.
Thursday’s theme is Adam Sandler with no after school activities.
Friday’s theme is Mav Out, and starting at 4 p.m. the homecoming parade will begin in the town of Mead; showcasing the nominees for this year’s homecoming royalty. Afterwards, the Mead Mavericks play Lewis Palmer and the theme is black out.
