Mr. Green might be new to Mead, but he is not new to education. He has been teaching for 20 years and currently instructs both P.E. and Health. He is in his 37th year in education in general.
Mr. Green teaches at Mead High School on A days, and Frederick High School on B days.
Mr. Green graduated from University of Northern Colorado with his bachelor’s degree and also has a masters in Educational Leadership from UNC. Before being a teacher, he explored other careers, most notably being an air traffic controller.
“I actually looked into being an air traffic controller, but decided it wasn’t for me,” Mr. Green said.
There are a lot of hobbies that Mr. Green likes to do in his free time. He loves to workout, run, and spend as much time as possible with his family.
Mr. Green’s favorite thing about teaching is the students.
“I love building relationships with students and getting to know them,” he said. He enjoys helping students gain access to new opportunities so they can, “find success in the future.”
He wants to help students find opportunities where they can practice showing pride, respect, teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership. He believes students are entering a competitive world where they will need these skills.
He also shared that knowledge and education students receive while in school will provide them with control over their futures and open doors they never thought possible.
Mr. Green wants to help them open those doors.
As Mr. Green said, “I want to provide [students] with a great experience.”
