My head went in my hands when my dad surprised me for my softball senior night.

I was in disbelief — I thought that he wasn’t going to be able to make it back home from his work trip to North Dakota.

My mom knew the entire time because she was the one who flew him back out for the night. They kept the secret from me until the day of.

It meant the world to me that my dad could be there. He’s my number one supporter, hands down.

There was an overwhelming mix of emotions, but it was great to have my family by my side on such a special night.

You can’t see it in this photo, but my dad was hiding behind the trash can so I wouldn’t see him.

My teammates continued to make our senior night one for the books. It was such a great feeling to be surrounded by my best friends and celebrate the last four years together.
