12 past senior quotes caught my eye
Here are my top 12 senior quotes from 2014-2018 yearbooks
Looking through different past yearbooks, I saw many good senior quotes that may or may not have been forgotten. I decided to pick ten of the ones that really caught my eye, so they won’t be forgotten.
A senior, Blake Doodwin (‘14), said, “Not everyone is meant to make a difference, but for me the choice to lead an ordinary life is no longer an option.” That quote was said by Spider-Man, and it made a good senior quote.
When I was looking through the 2014 yearbook, I saw a couple of seniors that used the same quote and that quote was “Every champion was once a contender that refused to give up” by Rocky Balboa. I like that quote because it’s a motivational quote, and who doesn’t like a good motivational quote?
Another senior quote from 2014 that I liked was “Today me will live in the moment unless it’s unpleasant in which case me will eat a cookie. —Cookie Monster.”
Austin Hartley, (‘15) quoted Albert Einstein for his senior quote, and that quote was, “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
One of my favorite quotes throughout all of these was said by Amanda Kridel (‘17), “Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather, slide in sideways totally worn out screaming, ‘What a ride!’”
Another quote from a different senior, Chandra Lanz (‘17), was, “Life is like a game of cards. The hand that is dealt to you represents determinism; the way you play it is free will.”
A couple of other inspirational senior quotes that I really like were by Gabriele Wright (‘18) and Lauren Wagner (‘18)—which were, “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us,” and “It’s okay to be a Glow Stick. Sometimes we have to break before we shine.”
The final four quotes are inspirational and amazing. Karli Shrum (‘18) said, “Every moment promises a future of endless possibilities, simply dream, believe and never give up.”
One of the quotes was by Erica Shea (‘18) and she said, “It doesn’t matter how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you choose to get back up.”
The second to last senior quote I chose was said by Alexanderia Fischels (‘18). She said, “The human heart feels things that the eyes cannot see, and knows what the mind cannot understand.”
The final inspirational senior quote I chose was said by Reginald Golden (‘18) “The greatest danger for most of us is not that we aim too high and we miss it, but we aim too low and reach it.”
