The Longmont Chamber of Commerce holds an annual event called Unity in The Community to provide a platform for local nonprofits and businesses. The goal is to unite the Longmont community and entrepreneurs.
This year, the business fair is from 4-9 PM and takes place in downtown Longmont. Unity in the Community welcomes anyone of any age, with no charge. This fair is engaging, with plenty of activities, music, and an all-around community building experience.
From an entrepreneur’s lens, the price ranges $300-950 for a booth. However, Justin Fugate (‘25) dodged the cost by drawing his networking card. With valuable connections, his business, Clock N’ Key Mobile Escape Rooms, will have a stand entirely sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce event coordinator.
Fugate (‘25) is the co-chair for the Chamber Student Network (CSN), a Longmont business-centered program for students. With his involvement in the program, he met The co-CEO of Market Reach Solutions. Subsequently, bringing Fugate to the Chamber of Commerce event coordinator. Soon after, Fugate’s (’25) booth was sponsored by them.
“I am excited, I’ve never done an event like this,” said Fugate (’25).
The stand for Clock N’ Key Escapes will have three mini-games each with five minutes of solving time. All the demo games for that evening will be under a detective theme—not related to any escape rooms on the website.
There will also be a section of the booth for marketing and advertising. The responsibility for managing the sections of the booth will be split between Fugate (‘25) and another person, of which is to be determined.
“I think my biggest goal for Friday night is to increase awareness of Clock N’ Key among Longmont families,” he said.
Fugate (’25) views this event as a chance to get himself out there and encourage word of mouth for his business.
He said, “I think Unity is going to be a great opportunity for me to spend a couple of hours and be able to network myself to a huge part of Longmont.”
Fugate (‘25) is determined to get as many opportunities and involvement as possible for his business. This includes recognition in newspapers, business programs, networking, and events across Longmont.
This is his first, but most definitely not his last, business event for Clock N’ Key Mobile Escape Rooms.
