New music is on its way from some of the most influential artists of this generation.

With the new year, new music is on the way. Many artists and bands have released dates for upcoming albums and projects that will be released this year. To guide your year of listening, here’s a brief list of albums to give a listen once they arrive in 2023.

5 Easy Hot Dogs — Mac Demarco

This is Mac’s seventh studio album and was previously rumored to be his last. This is an instrumental collection from DeMarco’s time on the road, “Kind of like being on tour, except there weren’t any shows, and I’d just be burning money.” According to an interview DeMarco did himself, each song portrays a different place he went on his trip.

This new record was released Jan. 20 on CD and digitally, and it will release May 12 on vinyl.

This is Why — Paramore

This will be the band’s sixth studio album. Paramore is known for their eccentric personality, smashing instrumentals, and beautiful vocals from singer Hailey Williams. The band released the title track as a single last year.

“It summarizes the plethora of ridiculous emotions, the rollercoaster of being alive in 2022, having survived even just the last three or four years,” Williams added in an interview.

This new record is set to release Feb. 20.

10,000 Gecs — 100 Gecs

This is the duo’s second studio album. They are known for their intense industrial hyper pop sound. A track list hasn’t been released, but two singles have: “Mememe” and “Doritos and Fritos”.

This new album is set to release March 17.
