Anna Maslowski (‘25) entered into her junior year with an exceptional workload in a successful effort to graduate early. Because of her hard work and dedication, Anna will be graduating this May with the ‘25 senior class.
Anna discussed the process of graduating early, and how it involves a lot of questions: Why do you want to graduate early? What is your action plan? Why is it important to you?
It takes a lot of hard work and pre-planning—all of which Anna accomplished.
She has earned her spot at Colorado School of Mines after tackling extra classes in order to receive the rest of her required credits. She completed these extra courses on top of the typical junior year classes, being involved in the school musical, having a job, and playing a variety of sports: cross-country, lacrosse, and hockey.
In college she will be majoring in data science, and she is thinking about minoring in business.
Anna’s reasoning for graduating early stemmed from a feeling that she was ready to move on—that she was ready to expand her world. “I was honestly feeling a sense of boredom,” she explained. She had been going through a lot personally and academically, and with many of her close friends graduating last year, she felt it was time to go.
For those who know Anna, it’s sad to see her leave. We wish we all had another year with her, but we’re immensely proud of her for this achievement. A lot of work, planning, and grueling effort went into this, and that speaks for Anna’s character. We wish her all the luck in wherever life takes her next.
