Have you ever been rushed in the morning and thrown on a random shirt and pair of pants and regretted the outfit later in the day? Planning your outfit the day before or before bed can be helpful.
As we get ready in the morning, there is so much we have to do: eat breakfast, get dressed, do your hair, skin care, shower, and whatever else you may include. All of these take time, and if you’re like me, you try to get as much sleep as possible.
Choosing an outfit takes absolutely forever for me personally; I try on everything to find an outfit that satisfies me. This takes too much time away from the other things I have to do in the morning. So, I thought: What can I cut out? Seeing that caring for myself in the morning, through skincare and makeup, is very important, I started planning my outfits the night before.
Walking into school with an outfit that makes me feel good has helped my confidence with both talking to people and actually getting school work done. When I walk into school with an outfit I’m not happy with, I feel kind of gross and uncomfortable, and less motivated to do things because I’m focused on how I look, therefore affecting my performance.
When I plan my outfit, it gives me more time in the mornings, and I feel better throughout the day. I fully recommend doing this because I believe it will have the same effect for you.
