A broken plate being taped back together

“Broken”

you can water a plant even when it’s dead but the reality is it won’t ever be the same again

you can glue back together a broken plate but the reality is it won’t ever be the same again

you can play with your childhood toy again but the reality is you won’t ever have the same feeling you had when you were a child

you can unblock that person but the reality is your relationship will never be the same

you can wear your favorite shirt from six years ago but it won’t fit the same as it does now

stop trying to fix things that you know won’t be the same as they were
