March 4 to 8 is inclusion spirit week at Mead High School.

Monday, March 4, starts spirit week off with a classic pajama day along with crazy socks.

Tuesday, March 5, is “College Out.” Wear your favorite college attire.

Wonder will also be shown during movie night held in the auditorium, starting at seven and ending around 9 p.m. There will be a two-dollar entry fee, and concessions will be open.

On Wednesday, March 6, Mavs are encouraged to wear their “spread the word” shirt. These can be purchased during both first and second lunches for ten dollars, with all profits going to unified programs. These will be sold until March 6, while supplies last.

Also occurring Wednesday is the “Inclusion Week After School Activity” badminton tournament! This will be held in the big gym and will consist of two teams. Entry is two dollars, and signing up is necessary if you want to participate! This event will begin at 5:00 p.m. and end at 6:50 p.m.

“Polar Plunge Thursday” is March 7. Wear mix-matched seasonal outfits! Make sure your outfits are school-appropriate. If you’ve participated in the polar plunge in previous years, feel free to wear your polar plunge shirts.

Friday, March 8’s spirit day is “Jersey Out.” Wear jerseys from your favorite teams and players.

There will be an assembly on Friday as well, so students will be on an assembly bell schedule.

Inclusion Week raises awareness among students to be kind and inclusive. This week is in partnership with the Special Olympics.
