A letter to my younger self (poem)

Things+I+wish+I+knew+when+I+was+younger.
Raul Mares
Things I wish I knew when I was younger.

you’re your own person,

love should make you feel good,

your friends should treat you with kindness,

you don’t need others validation, just your own,

it’s okay to be alone sometimes,

appreciate your natural self,

wear heat protection and be gentle to your hair,

be gentle to your skin, it’s barrier is fragile,

be gentle with yourself,

pay attention to who you surround yourself with,

things get better and easier,

don’t be afraid to speak up,

you don’t need to be afraid of things,

we all live, and we all die,

don’t grow up to fast,

there’s nothing you need to change about yourself,

you’re very lovable,

you’re mind is a temple,

you are still human,

wear sunscreen on your face, don’t kill your skin,

take care of your environment,

love hard and don’t stop,

change is okay!
