Sabrina Teeters (‘26) has come into her final high school year excited for new beginnings, with certainty and confidence in herself.
In her free time, she enjoys bonding with her friends and loved ones, as well as being creative. Whether it be painting or making crafts, she’s passionate about showing up for others and giving gifts, which she notes is one of her primary love languages. She sees beauty in the small details, and those details are what she pays the most attention to.
Sabrina has always had an eye for the whimsical, finding comfort in magic and things that are unexplainable. When she was little, she had a tree in her backyard she believed to house fairies. Her mother would leave her notes from “Tinker Bell,” and she would make homes for the fairies to live in. It’s these small memories that keep Sabrina tethered to her younger self. She embraces this, mentioning that her favorite animal is the unicorn, representing freedom, innocence, and femininity.
Looking back, one of Sabrina’s biggest achievements is winning two ribbons for her sculptures “Mermaid” and “Swan Bowl” in the district art show her sophomore and junior year. Her artistic expression has been an integral part of her success in high school, along with her being able to maintain an impressive GPA.
Throughout her life, Sabrina has always admired colorful hair, seeing it as a graceful representation of self expression.
“I’ve always liked having colored hair, ever since I was in third grade [when] I had rainbow hair.” She feels most herself, radiating the most self-confidence, when she has colorful hair, often referencing the look as “her final form.”
As a close friend to Sabrina, I want to wish her the absolute best as she parts ways with the Mead community. I believe that I speak for everyone when I say that she will find fulfillment and peace in anything she chooses to pursue.
