Plants are great decor for any space.

If you’re looking to invigorate your space, plants are the perfect way to accomplish this. There are many house plants that are easy to take care of and bring life into your space. Plants aren’t only great for decorating, but they also help to improve your health. They provide clean air and can boost your overall well-being. The following are a few house plants that are easy and great to take care of for beginners.

The snake plant is a great option for beginners; it’s a low-maintenance plant that stores its water in its leaves. The snake plant grows slowly, and depending on the plant, it can reach anywhere from eight inches to 12 feet with proper care. The snake plant is native to tropical West Africa. This plant may be one of the hardest to kill.

Another amazing houseplant would be the philodendron. Their name is based on the Greek words philo, which means “love,” and dendron, the word for  “tree.” The philodendron can tolerate being in less light, so don’t be afraid to put it in the corner of a room. These plants do like being dry; watering them once a week would BE BEST.

The Chinese evergreen, also known as the Agaonema, is a great pick when looking for a trouble-free plant. This plant only needs to be watered every five to ten days. Make sure to keep an eye out for soggy soil; low light is typically best for these plants as well. It’s definitely an easy option for beginners.

All of these plants would be great for a beginner; they are all easy to take care of and introduce you to taking care of plants. As you get more comfortable with these, there’s always room to improve and advance to more needy plants.
