Being in the student section is a unique experience and everyone should try it (Commentary)

The atmosphere is electric and it helps you connect with the rest of the student body

The MHS student section shows support.

Together, within the stands, radiating support to the people you go to school with every day gives me such a unique and vibrant feeling. I am lucky to experience such an atmosphere, and I think others should try it out.

Screaming the chants with your friends, seeing who can be the loudest while the opposing team is trying to make a basket. The adrenaline rushes through you as you raise your hands while our team is shooting a free throw.

Along with being at the game, getting ready beforehand is a lot of fun. Orange glitter was sprinkled everywhere, and an outfit matching the theme of the game was picked out the night before. A cute hairstyle I’ve been waiting to use for a fun event as such. Having to figure out rides and make plans to get a sweet treat afterwards is exciting. The entirety of the process is so exhilarating.

Within the stands, the community is very uplifting, with everyone standing together and cheering for our fellow classmates. Everyone is very inclusive and always looking for a good time. While being there, I learned all the chants and proudly joined in yelling for our team.

I think that everyone should go to some kind of game in order to support our school. This includes showing up for friends, classmates, or just the people we go to school with. Simply showing up is enough support, and maybe you’ll learn to enjoy and love it as much as I have.

Overall, I think that being able to be a part of the student sections at games is very fun and a unique experience.
