After receiving his diploma, Adam Speaker plans to earn some money and then take on the roads.

Adam Speaker (‘24) plans to take an ulterior route after finishing high school. Starting his post-high school plans with a gap year to “build up the bank.” He then plans to earn his CDL so he can go into a career of truck driving across the country. Speaker has motivation to pursue this because of his dad, a former truck driver. He is eager to see the scenery he will experience and the abundance of memories that will be made, just like his dad.

Adam’s favorite memories from high school mainly consisted of sports. He is a varsity golfer, which brought many memorable moments. He also enjoyed recreational sports and his gym classes. His most memorable moments were when he went to Golf Regionals and watched Booth Hayes (‘26) go to state during his senior year, along with watching his friend Ethan Turner (‘24) make the first hole-in-one in Mead golf history.

Adam said the most impactful classes were his social study classes, “because I learned the most things that I didn’t know before.” Alongside this, his favorite classes were AP psychology, taught by Ms. Sandoval, and all of the art classes narrowed down to AP Art and advanced drawing, which consisted of self-promoted drawings.

Adam said the teachers who most impacted him were Mrs. Sandoval and Mrs. Baxter. One of the most impactful things Ms. Sandoval said to him was, “Never let the small things get to him and pull through.” Ms. Baxter taught him that there is always a way to make life the best that it can be. His advice for any underclassmen is to stay on top of their work and classes and try not to get behind.

We wish Adam the best with his future endeavors, and we’re excited to see where the roads take him.
