Ander has a wonderful future ahead of him

Ander Khan (‘24) is finishing out his final year of high school, leaving with plenty of memories and life experience.

During Ander’s time in high school, he has worked hard for his academic success, earning a 4.1 GPA. He intends to go to Western Colorado University for a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He intends on getting his doctorate in clinical psychology with an emphasis on neuropsychology. Using this knowledge, he plans to become a neuropsychologist.

During high school, Ander made a lot of friends and even more memories. Hanging out with his friends on New Year’s Eve and over the summer is the most notable. Through his years of high school, he has noted his growth in mental maturity.

“I wanted a lot of social acceptance… But now, I’ve learned that’s okay; I don’t have to be friends with everybody,” he said.

Ander’s advice for underclassmen is to enjoy their high school life and have fun.

Throughout Ander’s time at Mead, he had a lot of influential teachers that supported him, especially Ms. Tyma.

“She is very emotionally supportive of her students. [They] were able to connect more than just like a teacher-student.”

We wish Ander well on his way to becoming a neuropsychologist, and are excited to see what else his path brings.
