Eris Price (‘25) is ending this school year off with big aspirations for their future.
Eris is extremely involved at the school. Being involved in theatre, choir, and the National Honor Society. Eris has been in the school play and musical ever since their freshman year. Theatre has given them a creative outlet to express themself. “I just love having the chance to perform and be on a stage. I love being able to express myself through that outlet.”
Theatre has helped Eris grow closer with their friends.
Eris has been involved in NHS for the past two years, where they are currently the treasurer. Being in this group has provided Eris with new volunteer opportunities, and the ability to connect further with their community.
Outside of theatre and the National Honor Society, Eris has been heavily involved in choir. They are currently a student representative for the harmonique ensemble, which has led Eris to meet their closest friends and helped them grow.
Eris stated, “I would not be the person I am today without the guidance of my peers and Ms. Berry.”
Music has been a big part of Eris’ life, leading them to pursue a major in music therapy: “I’ve seen firsthand how music can help heal people,” they said. “Discovering that music therapy was a career that I could pursue, it just felt right to use music to help other people the way it helped me.”
Eris intends on pursuing their career at Colorado State University (CSU). The eventual goal is to get their doctorate and teach music therapy.
Eris was inspired by their sister Haley, who is attending CSU and is majoring in music education. “Being able to see [Haley] pursue her dreams and really thrive in the music community at CSU really drove me to consider pursuing music as a career,” Eris explained.
Eris hopes to end this year off with all A’s and to keep in contact with people from high school.
As a friend of Eris, I am so excited to see what they do in life and will miss them so much.
