On October 15 at 7:00 p.m. Victoria’s Secret hosted their second fashion show in New York City since their comeback in 2024. The show streamed on Prime Video and Amazon Live, as well as on YouTube and TikTok Live, amassing hundreds of thousands of Victoria’s Secret fans. The show featured artists Karol G, Madison Beer, TWICE, and hip-hop icon Missy Elliot.
The brand also brought back familiar faces to the modeling industry, such as Bella and Gigi Hadid, Adriana Lima, Alex Consani, and Candice Swanepoel, while also pushing the franchise forward by including a variety of plus-sized models and professional athletes such as Angel Reese and Suni Lee, who happen to be the first athletes on the pink runway. Victoria’s Secret also made a point to bring back the classic “bouncy blowout” look, in contrast to last year’s notorious slick-back hair style that fans found disappointing.
The show opened with Model Jasmine Tookes showing off her second pregnancy in a gorgeous bronze look with a gold pair of wings. This section of the show was themed “First Light” with the models wearing gold, auburn and deep bronze hues, with bright, and natural light. It introduced the show perfectly, amplifying the new era of inclusion and diversity Victoria Secret plans to enter.
Then came Madison Beer’s opener “make you mine.” To everyone’s delight, she brought the bombshell fantasy pink theme back, wearing a pale pink corset and shorts, paired with knee-length baby pink boots and feathery, pink wings.
Gigi Hadid was the first model to walk, cloaked in a floor-length coat made of pink flower petals over a pink lace lingerie set. This would be Angel Reese’s first appearance on the runway, wearing a lace set and a pink fur throw-over with pink and cream flowers.
Next, the K-pop group TWICE performed, opening with their track “THIS IS FOR,” dancing in fuzzy pink boots and PINK attire. The set had a bright blue sky and stadium lights, with the stage marked like a football field and the famous PINK dog in the center, channeling a playful, college varsity spirit. This segment’s name, “Halftime” made its Victoria’s Secret debut for the first time since 2018. The models walking during this set wore more casual, athletic fashion with looks worn by Ashlyn Erickson, Barbie Ferreira, and a highly anticipated appearance from influencer/YouTuber Quenlin Blackwell, as well as Olympic gymnast Suni Lee.
The next artist set to perform was Karol G, a Columbian singer known best for her studio album “MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO.” She wore a long-sleeved lace catsuit in a deep red hue, paired with a long skirt and thigh-high leg, with a flawless, sleek blowout. Opening the set with her record “Ivonny Bonita,” with models Bella Hadid and Alex Consani, who made a lethal entrance, each strutting in elegant red lingerie sets with Consani wearing a pair of deep crimson wings. This section of the show was themed “Hot Pursuit,” which is reflected in the sensuality of the music and the deep, immersive red looks each model wore.
“Magic hour,” featuring warm light and dramatic shadows, gives rise to the golden hour of twilight. Twilight, being the hours before both the sunrise and the sunset, symbolizes the dawning of a new era, and the sun setting on the old. This segment did not include a performance from one specific artist; rather, it paid homage to the most iconic female stars like Britney Spears, Cher, and Mariah Carey. The looks from this set were arguably some of the best, with the opening look worn by Angelina Kendall, the wings an ornate branch of cherry blossoms, and a mauve lingerie set, as well as Emily Ratajikowski’s orchid-inspired wings and pink lace set.
Finally, Missy Elliot’s performance came. Bringing back her biggest songs “Get Ur Freak On,” “Work It,” and “Lose Control,” she set the perfect finale for the Victoria’s Secret’s 2025 fashion show. The hip-hop star wore all black, with a blouse and balloon sleeves, and black pants, all of which were covered in silver embellishments. Elliot brought the marriage between fashion and hip-hop, reminding everyone that both go hand-in-hand.
The 2025 Victoria’s Secret fashion show successfully left a big impression on viewers of all ages, establishing the franchise as one that will continue to evolve with changing times, while staying true to its classy, feminine nature.
