Fall is a cozy season full of color exciting films

Fall is here, bringing cooler days and beautiful colors. With fall comes movies, and without fail, popular media is always re-watched during this time as a bit of a kickstart to the spooky season. Here are three movies that I personally enjoy watching through the colorful season.

One of my favorite movies is “Halloween“. The movie revolves around Laurie Strode babysitting on Halloween night when Michael Myers, an escaped prisoner, goes on a murder rampage in the town of Haddonfield. People around Laurie drop like flies and ends with her in a standoff with the killer, additionally going in depth about Michael Myers’ backstory. This movie is a popular classic, always on the forefront of the minds of movie goers this time of year. It’s perfect to get a good scare during the spooky season without having to watch something gruesome or cruel. The movie is a little cheesy, but that’s what makes it so great. There are lots of twists and turns, which eventually lead to a cliffhanger, that’ll leave you on the edge of your seat.

If scary isn’t your thing, “Coraline” is the perfect fall-feel movie for you. The movie revolves around the character Coraline as she moves into her new house and discovers a strange world similar to ours. The movie has a grim eerie feeling to it, giving you the creeps at times and messing with your head, something I think is amazing. The details are what makes it so fantastic. The odd and creepy scenes will give you shivers without having to be gory or gruesome. It paints the perfect picture of a world, then starts to slowly destroy it. The plot and details add up to make a remarkable movie

If you don’t want a Halloween movie but want something with an autumn setting, I recommend “Dead Poets Society“, a film that follows an English teacher who sparks passion for poetry and learning to a group of boys he teaches. It’s a great coming of age movie, tackling harsh topics that aren’t for the faint of heart. Even though it takes place over a school year, it has an overall nostalgic fall feel to it. It’s an incredibly emotional movie I believe anyone can take something from.

Hopefully these movies make it onto your list this spooky season. It’s the perfect time to stay inside, cuddle up, and watch a good movie.
