Mr. Eisentrager is the athletic director at Mead High School and the assistant principal for letters RF-Z. He is a committed administrator who prides himself on the community and integrity of MHS along, with the success of his athletes.
His goals for this year consist of achieving a 100% graduation rate once again: “Every single senior who was expected to get a diploma last year, we handed a diploma to. So that’s kind of always our goal, we want to make sure every kid that comes in here graduates and is prepared for whatever they want to do next,” said Eisentrager.
Another top priority of his is the safety and security of the school: “We want to make sure every kid that shows up to school here feels welcome, feels comfortable, feels safe, every single class, every single day.”
Eisentrager is an inclusive man who is dedicated to his community. Not only showing this through his care for his athletes, but his inclusion and love for community has been expressed through his love for education.
Eisentrager explained how his love for education started in 8th grade, and that, “Weirdly, I wanted to go into education, almost back to 8th grade. I had a really cool teacher back in Minnesota, Mr. Gustafson. He was my eighth grade English teacher, and he made learning fun for me.”
He related a lot with this teacher, which set the path in his life to graduate from Drake University with a degree in education. He’s made his life goal to be changing students’ lives, watching them to grow up to be successful.
Going a little further into Eisentrager’s life, he has three kids, an awesome wife, and an active life within his family and the school. He makes an effort to be a true father and a responsible man to set the standard for his children.
He often spends time with his kids at sports games, all while holding his athletes accountable, like he does himself. He does this by grade checking, creating plans if a student falls behind, and setting expectations of homework being finished to ensure success within the athletes and the athletes’ academics.
Mr. Eisentrager is a man of the people who cares and shows up for Mead and his community. He’s a committed man who wants to be there, so he does.
